Alexander Kosarev

First Deputy Director General of JSC VNIIZHT

  • Was born in 1964. Graduated from the Moscow State University of Railway Engineers (MIIT) in 1986.
  • Has been working at VNIIZhT since 1986. From 1992-2000 Senior Researcher, Head of Electrification department “Electrification of railway transport”.
  • Defended PhD thesis in 1991 and in 1999 - doctoral thesis to obtain a degree of Dr.Sc. in Engineering.
  • 2000-2004 Deputy Director General of JSC VNIIZHT. Professor since 2007. More than 100 scientific publications, including 2 monographs. Chairman of the Dissertation Committee at VNIIZhT in two specialties – “Train Traction” and “Railway Track”.
  • In 2017 was promoted to position of First Deputy Director General JSC VNIIZhT.
